Hi, my name is Christopher, aka Dr. No. Throughout my career, I have worn many hats. I have changed career paths numerous times, each requiring some professional degree. My career has ranged from medicine to doctoral work in psychology and decision making at Yale and Harvard, but one thing has remained the same, I have always been a hustler (please see my SnapCall co-founding hustler brothers, Brian White & Andy MacDonald, for a deeper explanation of what it means to be a hustler in the 21st Century).
Together, we are actively building SnapCall, a SaaS platform designed to help the modern-day hustlers, move fast, play hard and succeed, by providing the tools, recommendations, and mobile-first platform to empower their audience engagements and sales through SMS.
My role in our all-star team is to translate the chaos of data into simple solutions (recommendations) to help our clients succeed (e.g. capture more customers, grow and retain their audience, sell more…) by helping them engage with their audience in a more impactful way (e.g. personalization).

Our Need for Personalized Connection.
Our ability to thrive as human beings is dependent in large part on our having personal human contact. Our social lives and relationships help shape who we are and provide a sense of belonging. Even our decisions as consumers stem in large part from our desire to communicate who we are and express how we see ourselves socially. Today, social media is one of our main channels used to socialize. And most Americans agree that social media allows for more contact and personal connection than we ever have had. But is this true?
Research aimed at understanding the health of American's social lives found more than ever we feel isolated from personal connections. Both conclusions cannot be correct.
The reality is that social media is wonderful for public posting and passively following our friends, but publicly posting and passively following means we are speaking and engaging directly with no one. So, despite our perception of having more social connection, in truth we are having far less.
One way technology has increased our social engagements is text messaging. Prior to texting, we may have hesitated to call someone with something less pressing, but now, realizing they can engage at their convenience, we communicate all day.

Communicating with Our Audience.
The lack of personal engagement is also occuring within our lives as consumers. Long gone are the days when milk was hand-delivered, payments collected face-to-face, all on a first name basis. These personal moments as consumers left us feeling satisfied and appreciated by the brands and individuals we purchased from and helped create the trust and loyalty between the consumer and provider. Today, innovation has come to mean convenience and most human to human engagements have been replaced by automation.
Because hustlers are their own brands (brand-me), personalized connection is how the bond of trust and loyalty is established with their audience. Given the lack of personalized connections, loyalty has plummeted and an astounding fact is that an estimated 79% of brands, businesses, and hustlers could disappear today and consumers wouldn't care.

Personalized Relationship Required.
In an attempt to create a relationship with one’s audience the hustler must create a two-way interaction demonstrating their human side by speaking with their audience as a person in a personalized fashion. With 86% of consumers reporting that personalization played a role in their purchase decisions, we believe personalization is not something that can be ignored. Personalization directly impacts the audience’s perceptions of whether or not a message sent to them is valuable and in turn whether they engage.

- 64% of consumers say they buy more when communication is using language that feels familiar to their own.
- Personalization research has statistically shown to deliver a 5x-8x ROI.
- Personalization also leads to improved response rates, increased sales, audience growth and increased audience loyalty.
Yet despite these very clear outcomes, data also shows hustlers lack both the tools and knowledge necessary to properly personalize engagement:
- 72% of hustlers and brands indicate their audience segments data is too broad for meaningful personalization.
- Nearly 85% also indicated a limited understanding of how to personalize their marketing and audience engagements.
